Girl Scout Goes for the Gold with Gifts for Kids


Eighteen year old Girl Scout Maddie Nelson has collected and donated new educational and fun electronic toys for the Pediatric Playroom at North Central Baptist Hospital. The games will be kept in “Maddie’s Corner” in the playroom for sick and injured children to enjoy while they are being cared for at the hospital.

Among the games Maddie is donating are: A Leapster Explorer Unit, My First Book (electronic), Chat and Count, Scribble & Write, Touch & Teach Turtle, Alphie the Robot, Hand Held Nintendo DS System, Games for Nintendo DS, Shrek’s Carnival, Madagascar, Legends on the Guardians, Sponge Bob Square Pants creature from the Krusty Krab, A container of DVD's including Chicken Soup for the Soul - 2 short stories, Princess Collection, The Derby Stallion, Benji 2, Kindergarten Cop, Winn Dixie, and a container of AA and AAA batteries to keep the games running for a long time.

Maddie also donated a cabinet to hold all the toys. She is going for the highest honor a Girl Scout can achieve – the Golden Award.
